Overview
Anhui Institute of Medicine is a public undergraduate medical college in Hefei administered by the Anhui Provincial Health Commission. Founded in 1955, it combines health-profession education with the Anhui Academy of Medical Sciences and the Provincial Genetic Medicine Center. Its clinical training network includes a directly affiliated tertiary hospital, a stomatological hospital, other affiliated and teaching hospitals, and industry teaching partners.
The institute has accepted international students since 2021. Its 2026 international admissions brochure explicitly opens four Chinese-taught, four-year bachelor’s programs: Nursing, Pharmacy, Senior Services Management and Medical Laboratory Technology. Students apply from April through June with academic, identity, language and health documents; the published annual bachelor’s tuition is RMB 19,000, and residence options range from four-person to two-person rooms. Applicants can seek the institute’s published Belt and Road, President’s or HSK awards under the eligibility rules.
