Beihua University

Beihua University is a comprehensive public university in Jilin City, jointly supported by the Jilin provincial government and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. It was established in1999 through the merger of four institutions specializing in teacher education, medicine, forestry and electrical technology, with predecessor roots extending to1906. Its East, South and North campuses and affiliated hospital support study across humanities, science, engineering, medicine, arts and sport. The university maintains academic partnerships with overseas institutions and has a longstanding Chinese-language education center.

The international admissions brochure identifies65 Chinese-taught undergraduate subjects and63 Chinese-taught Master’s subjects open to overseas students, together with a separate six-year English-taught Clinical Medicine route. The English medical route includes an initial language year, professional study and a final internship year, with its own entry requirements and fee schedule. Chinese-language learners can attend one semester or one academic year. University staff review applications and interview shortlisted degree applicants; CSC and Jilin provincial scholarships have separate funding periods and conditions, including a provincial Master’s award that supports only the first two years of a three-year programme.
