Overview

Central University of Finance and Economics is a Beijing-based university directly administered by China’s Ministry of Education and jointly supported with the Ministry of Finance and the Beijing municipal government. Its teaching and research center on economics, finance and public policy, supported by law, management, statistics, computing, foreign languages and the social sciences. The university’s applied economics discipline is a national Double First-Class field, and its schools connect academic study with the institutions that shape China’s financial and public sectors.

The university’s 2026 international degree catalogs identify 28 undergraduate offerings, 41 master’s offerings and eight doctoral offerings when Chinese- and English-taught versions are counted separately. This includes specialist routes in finance, public finance, regional economics, accounting, actuarial science, information systems and international law. Degree applicants use the CUFE international student portal; language requirements, interviews and the tuition rate depend on the named program and the relevant admissions guide.
