Chengdu Sport University

Chengdu Sport University is a public specialist university in Chengdu, Sichuan, with educational roots in 1942. Its academic work combines physical education, competitive sport, sports science and rehabilitation with medicine, humanities, journalism, management and the arts. Teaching and research connect classroom learning with practical training, coaching, clinical practice and the study of Chinese traditional sports. Its undergraduate and postgraduate disciplines include sports pedagogy, human movement science, sports rehabilitation, traditional Chinese medicine and the social and cultural dimensions of sport.

The university’s international admissions guides identify Chinese-taught undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral study, together with non-degree Chinese-language and Wushu training. The international catalogs distinguish full-time academic and professional postgraduate routes, part-time professional routes and doctoral specialisms. Applications are assessed through document review and, for degree applicants, an interview; a Chinese-medium previous qualification can support an HSK-certificate waiver. International students must hold appropriate medical insurance and meet the university’s registration and immigration requirements. Competitive Sichuan provincial and Chengdu municipal scholarships are considered separately from admission, with selection ranked using interview results.
