China University of Petroleum

China University of Petroleum (Beijing) is a Ministry of Education university founded in 1953, with a main campus in Beijing and a campus in Karamay, Xinjiang. Its academic identity is closely connected to petroleum and energy, but its work also spans engineering, information technology, science, economics and management. The university’s Project 211 and Double First-Class status reflects its role in advanced education and research related to energy resources and industrial development.
