China University of Political Science and Law

China University of Political Science and Law is a public university in Beijing administered by China’s Ministry of Education and jointly supported by the ministry and the Beijing municipal government. Law is its principal academic field, supported by political science, economics, management, philosophy, literature and other disciplines. The university participates in China’s Double First-Class initiative and maintains campuses in Changping and Haidian. Its academic schools and research institutes cover legal theory, constitutional and administrative law, criminal justice, international law, comparative law, human rights and related social sciences. The China-EU School of Law adds an international dimension to its legal education through cooperation with European partner institutions.

The School of International Education coordinates admissions and support for international students. The published international catalog includes sixteen undergraduate majors, academic postgraduate subjects, dedicated English-taught law routes, and full-time Chinese-language study with placement from beginner to advanced stages. The English law programs combine coursework, legal research and a dissertation, with degree-specific language and previous-qualification requirements. Language students study at the Haidian campus and can take courses in everyday, business and legal Chinese alongside cultural activities. Chinese Government Scholarships, Beijing Government Scholarships and a limited China-EU partner-university award have different eligibility, application channels and funding terms; applicants must select the correct program and funding route.
