Guizhou Medical University

Guizhou Medical University traces its origins to the National Guiyang Medical College founded in 1938. Located in Guiyang and Gui’an New District, it combines undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral medical education with hospital-based teaching and clinical practice. Its international student programme began in 2014 and has enrolled students from countries in Asia, Africa and other regions. University publications describe affiliated hospitals, specialist teaching units and a wider network of clinical and non-clinical training bases that support medical education and research.

The 2026 self-funded undergraduate guide offers Clinical Medicine with a preparatory first year and a five-year professional stage, alongside a five-year Dental Surgery route. A separate CSC ASEAN and Belt and Road scholarship call names six Chinese-taught Bachelor’s subjects and links a current international postgraduate supervisor catalogue. Graduate routes are recorded by subject, degree level and the explicitly published Chinese, English or bilingual label.
