Overview

Founded in 1953, Nanning Normal University is a teacher-education university in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its Mingxiu, Changgang, Wuhe and Wuming campuses support a broad academic profile that reaches beyond education into geography, chemistry, environmental and life sciences, literature, law, economics, management, journalism, arts and physical education. The university’s location in southern China also gives it a strong regional role in educational exchange with ASEAN countries.

The university’s international admissions materials identify undergraduate pathways as well as a 2026 postgraduate catalog of 77 distinct master’s fields and three doctoral research directions. The postgraduate range includes education, law, social sciences, computing, chemistry, geography, literature, communication and public administration, with doctoral study in vocational and technical education, educational leadership and student development. The university’s 2026 scholarship calls specify Chinese-taught degree routes and direct applicants to the international student application portal; program-specific language, eligibility and funding conditions should be checked in the relevant call.
