Ningxia University

Ningxia University is a comprehensive public university jointly supported by China’s Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Founded in 1958, it expanded through its 2002 merger with Ningxia Agricultural College and is included in the national Project 211 and Double First-Class initiatives. Its academic strengths include Chemical Engineering and Technology, Ethnology, Pratacultural Science and the history of China’s ethnic minorities. The university combines humanities and social sciences with engineering, natural sciences and agricultural disciplines, with degree education extending through doctoral study.

International education at Ningxia University includes Chinese-taught undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programmes, Chinese-language training, institutional exchanges and short-term study. The official international catalogue identifies the programmes and their responsible schools, including Tourism Management at the Zhongwei campus. Degree applicants need the relevant Chinese-language proficiency and undergraduate applicants must meet the published CSCA subject requirements. International students apply through the university’s designated online system; on-campus accommodation is arranged for new students who register within the stated period, subject to availability. Chinese Government and Ningxia University scholarships are separately administered, competitive funding routes rather than automatic benefits of admission.
