Northeast Electric Power University

Northeast Electric Power University is a public university in Jilin City, Jilin Province, founded in 1949 as an institution specialising in electric-power engineering. Its academic structure combines electrical engineering, power engineering and thermal sciences with control, computing, civil and environmental engineering, science, management, humanities and design. The university’s research and professional training are closely connected with the power industry and the economic development of Jilin Province.

The university has admitted international students since 1998 and became a Chinese Government Scholarship host institution in 2013. Its international office publishes undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral programme lists together with short- and long-term Chinese-language study.
