Northwest University

Northwest University is a comprehensive university in Xi’an, the historic starting point of the Silk Road, with origins dating to 1902. It participates in China’s Double First-Class initiative and Project 211. Its international prospectus highlights a long tradition of education in geology, economics and the humanities, while the international programme catalogue also covers environmental science, chemistry, life sciences, engineering, business, mathematics, languages, archaeology and the arts.

The university began admitting international students in 1965 and reports having educated more than 20,000 students from over 80 countries and regions. International applicants can pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, Chinese-language training and non-degree professional study alongside Chinese students.
