Qingdao City University

Qingdao City University is an independent full-time higher education institution in Qingdao, developed from the former Qingdao University of Technology Qindao College. Its applied education focuses on urban construction, city operations, governance, intelligent technologies and urban industries. Undergraduate provision spans engineering, management, economics, humanities and art, supported by laboratories, internship facilities and partnerships with enterprises.

The university’s international education includes undergraduate degrees, on-campus Chinese-language study and online Chinese courses. Its published international admissions policy explicitly opens all undergraduate programmes to foreign applicants. Since 2010 it reports having hosted more than 2,000 students from over 20 countries, with academic study complemented by cultural activities and interaction with Chinese students. The campus at Tiejishan Road in Chengyang provides teaching facilities, student accommodation and access to Qingdao’s coastal urban environment.
