Overview

Founded in 1992, Sanda University is a private, nonprofit undergraduate university created by academics from leading Shanghai institutions. It operates campuses in Pudong, Shanghai, and Jiashan, Zhejiang, and has developed an applied curriculum across business, engineering, design, languages, health and education. Its teaching emphasizes practical skills and partnerships with employers in the Yangtze River Delta.

The university’s 2026 international undergraduate guide publishes 39 Chinese-taught majors plus an English-taught Data Science and Big Data Technology route. The four-year catalog spans finance, law, computing, robotics, digital media, nursing and teacher education, among other disciplines. Applicants normally need HSK Level 4 for Chinese-medium study, and the university may also require evidence of the language used by the selected major.
