Sanming University

Sanming University is a public university administered by Fujian Province in the city of Sanming. Its educational history traces to the Quanmin Normal School, which opened in 1903. The university emphasizes applied education and brings together engineering, business, humanities, teacher education, health, art and design. Its campus contains specialist teaching laboratories and practical training facilities, with academic work connected to the industries and communities of inland Fujian. In 2024 it received approval to award master’s degrees in tourism management, materials and chemical engineering, and mechanical engineering.

International undergraduate education is organized through the university’s international cooperation and academic schools. The international admissions guide identifies a four-year English-taught Trade Economics degree and a broad catalog of Chinese-taught bachelor’s programs, rather than extending English instruction to every major.
