Shantou University

Shantou University is a public comprehensive university founded in 1981 in Shantou, Guangdong. It is jointly supported by the Chinese Ministry of Education, Guangdong Province and the Li Ka Shing Foundation. Its academic structure spans humanities, science, engineering, law, business, journalism, art and design, medicine and public health. The university has pursued education and management reforms alongside the development of interdisciplinary teaching and research. Its teaching environment combines academic schools, laboratory and clinical facilities, and residential colleges, with specialist medical education organized through Shantou University Medical College.

The International College coordinates the general international undergraduate admissions process, while Clinical Medicine and Nursing applicants are directed to the Medical College’s admissions office.
