Shanxi University

Shanxi University is a comprehensive university in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province. Its teaching spans humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and technology, giving international students routes into both disciplinary study and work that crosses traditional academic boundaries. The School of International Education and Exchange manages international admissions and supports students as they enter degree study and settle into campus life.

For the 2026 international undergraduate intake, Shanxi University publishes six Chinese-taught majors: Chinese Language and Literature, International Politics, International Economics and Trade, Business Administration, Tourism Management, and Computer Science and Technology. The mix enables students to study language, public affairs, business and computing in one university environment. Applicants need a high-school qualification, Chinese-language evidence and the China Scholastic Competency Assessment, followed by the university's admissions review and interview.
