Southwest Forestry University

Southwest Forestry University is in Kunming, Yunnan Province, with an academic focus on forestry and related environmental and resource sciences. Its School of Forestry cooperates with APFNet to provide regional education in sustainable forest management and rehabilitation. The partnership connects university study with field practice, forestry policy and professional exchange through specialist teaching and APFNet’s regional network. The university also hosts APFNet’s Kunming Training Center, which organizes international capacity-building activities and field learning in Yunnan.

The verified international offer includes a two-year English-taught Master’s in Forestry under the APFNet Scholarship Program and a separate seven-day regional undergraduate camp in 2026 focused on green forestry value chains. The Master’s route is intended for qualified forestry graduates and professionals, with specified study and living benefits subject to academic review. The camp requires institutional nomination and has separate travel and full-board funding conditions. A broader 2024 provincial scholarship notice is retained as historical evidence; it is not used to claim that every current domestic degree programme is open to international applicants.
