Tianjin University

Founded in 1895 as Peiyang University, Tianjin University is the first institution of higher education in the modern history of China. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and a member of the 'Double First-Class' initiative. The university operates across three campuses: Weijin Road, Peiyangyuan, and Binhai Industrial Research Institute, with a total student body exceeding 40,000. Tianjin University is renowned for its engineering disciplines but has developed into a comprehensive research university covering science, management, humanities, law, medicine, and arts. It maintains extensive international cooperation with over 260 institutions globally and hosts more than 2,000 international degree students.
