Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established in 1958 and specializes in the education, clinical practice and research of Chinese medicine. Chinese Materia Medica is a national Double First-Class discipline, and the university also has recognized strengths in acupuncture, tuina and TCM internal medicine. Its affiliated and teaching hospitals give students a setting in which medical theory can be connected with supervised clinical learning.

The International Education College recruits students at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. Its current international admissions brochure publishes programs in Chinese medicine, pharmacy, rehabilitation, nursing, management, Chinese language education and related health sciences, with selected acupuncture and materia medica routes also available in English. Students study on the Tianjin campuses and can draw on the university's medicinal-plant garden, TCM museum and international education center. The 2026 admissions information requires undergraduate applicants to submit a CSCA result, while postgraduate entry depends on prior study in a relevant field.
