Overview
Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) is a private university in Yogyakarta founded in 1945, before Indonesia declared independence. Its academic identity combines professional education and research with Islamic values. The university offers study in law, economics, business, engineering, science, health, humanities and education across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
For international applicants, UII publishes a Future Global Leaders Scholarship (FGLS) route covering applied and regular undergraduate degrees as well as master’s and doctoral study. Its international-program options include English-medium undergraduate courses, while regular classes are taught in Indonesian. UII also participates in the Indonesian government’s KNB scholarship; the degree lists and application calendars differ by route, so applicants should choose the published route for their program.
