University of Science and Technology Liaoning

University of Science and Technology Liaoning was established in 1948 and is located in Anshan, Liaoning, a city associated with China’s steel industry. It developed from a metallurgical higher-education institution into a multidisciplinary university with an engineering foundation and additional work in science, economics, management, law and art. Its academic schools, laboratories and libraries support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. The campus is situated near the Qianshan scenic area and other cultural and natural attractions of Anshan.

The School of International Education organizes international admission, language education and student services. Its published international guide gives named English-taught engineering and business degrees, a Chinese and English electrical-engineering route and Chinese-language study. International students participate in academic, sporting and cultural activities and can use furnished campus accommodation. The university continues to administer Chinese Government Scholarships and reported successful doctoral recipients of the Liaoning provincial award in 2026. Program admission, scholarship selection and the applicable language route have separate conditions; the general self-funded age limits are not replaced by stricter scholarship age limits.
