Overview

Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical University traces its history to 1958 and became Xinjiang’s first public undergraduate vocational university in 2024. Its campuses in Changji and Ürümqi serve a student body of more than 21,000. Teaching spans animal science, horticulture, seed production, food engineering, agricultural technology and related fields, supported by practical training facilities and industry-linked placements.

The university’s 2026 international admissions guide lists four four-year vocational bachelor’s programs and four three-year diploma programs. All eight focus on applied agricultural or food-sector skills, from facility horticulture and animal husbandry to modern seed production and cotton processing. Applicants are normally expected to hold HSK level 3 or above, and the school reviews documents before a joint admissions interview.
