A plan is easier to choose when you begin with your next task. Do you want to test the Academic preview, build a shortlist with current university details, or make more student introductions? Academic and Connect are the two modes in IMS Hub. Membership changes the access available within that experience.
Basic gives you a way to begin. Student Core adds full Academic access and expanded Connect. Student Pro includes those capabilities and adds an eligible-region Advisor call allowance. The useful question is which of those differences you expect to use.
Start with Basic when you are exploring
Basic provides up to three Academic preview matches. The number is a limit, not a promise of three suitable results: missing profile information or insufficient university requirements can leave fewer options. The preview helps you see whether the result is relevant and whether your Academic profile needs work.
Opening full university details and saving choices leads to the paid membership route. If those actions are the next part of your research, that is a practical reason to review Core. You do not need to infer paid access from the fact that a card appears in the preview.
For Connect, Basic includes 20 distinct discovery profiles per UTC day and five outgoing introductions per UTC calendar month. Receiving introductions and access to existing mutual contacts remain free, subject to eligibility, consent and safety controls. Daily and monthly resets are different; they are not a rolling allowance that refreshes after each individual use.
Choose Core for an ongoing study and student routine
Student Core includes full university matches, saved choices, university updates and discussions, plus expanded Connect discovery and introductions. This suits a routine in which you return to suitable options, save a relevant program and follow published information while also meeting students.
For example, your work might be to review two programs this week, identify one missing requirement and keep a small shortlist. Core gives that Academic workflow room beyond the preview. You can also use expanded Connect without purchasing Advisor calls.
Expanded access does not mean every program will match, every university will publish updates or introductions are unlimited. Connect still applies its daily, pending-request and safety controls. A membership cannot create nearby students or require another person to accept an introduction.
The current USD base price for Core is $4.99 per month. Use the price displayed by your actual purchase channel when deciding; local store pricing is authoritative.
Consider Pro if you will use eligible Advisor calls
Student Pro includes the Core capabilities plus 60 connected Advisor call minutes per billing month in eligible regions. Its current USD base price is $10 per month, with the purchase screen again providing the applicable local price.
Advisor is an optional AI voice feature alongside the two modes. It is not a separate third mode or a human admissions service. Regional eligibility is checked separately from Academic and Connect access, so language, nationality or a chosen study destination does not establish call availability.
Choose Pro for a real call use case, such as talking through the questions raised by an Academic option. Minutes reset each billing month, do not roll over and do not create automatic overage charges. Browsing, matching and saving universities do not consume call time.
Review the actual purchase before deciding
Open Settings → Payments & subscription. The Membership screen shows Current plan, available plan choices, the price and the relevant action. Check those details rather than assuming the plan card you are viewing is already active.
Paid memberships renew under the displayed purchase terms, and management depends on the provider. Human Admissions Assistance has its own optional service flow and fees; it is not included in these memberships.
