An empty university feed can mean several different things. Academic may need a missing result, the available university requirements may be insufficient, or the app may be unable to load current information. The message on the screen helps you decide which problem to address.
Before changing your profile, read that message and its action label. The best next step depends on whether the missing information belongs to you, to a university option or to the connection needed to load the feed.
Follow requests for your study information
When Academic needs profile information, it can list the missing fields and direct you to the relevant section. On the full feed, academic-record gaps lead to Review academic background. Missing goals can lead to Review study goals, while language and funding gaps have their own review actions.
For an academic-background request, check the education record relevant to your next study level. Is the qualification clear? Have you included its result and grading system? If you have several qualifications at the relevant level, check which one is selected for matching.
For a study-goal request, review the level, primary program interest, teaching language, preferred country and intake. For language information, describe your actual proficiency and evidence stage. Save the corrected section before returning to the results.
The Basic preview can instead offer Complete academic profile. It takes you back to the same profile-building task, so start with the information identified in the message.
Recognize when university information needs confirmation
A message that university requirements need confirmation describes a different gap. Academic has been unable to confirm current, comparable entry requirements for your saved background. The relevant action is Check again.
Rewriting an accurate grade will not supply a university's missing requirement. Keep your own facts correct and recognize which question belongs to the program information. The app can only establish a recommendation from the information available to it.
This distinction also explains why a completed profile does not guarantee a full feed. Profile completion concerns your saved information; the result also depends on the published details that can be compared with it.
Review goals when no current option can be confirmed
If Academic cannot confirm a suitable recommendation from your current profile and published requirements, the feed offers Review study goals. Read this as an opportunity to check the plan you asked it to evaluate.
An old intake, a subject interest you no longer want or a destination you have changed your mind about can leave the profile describing yesterday's search. Correct those details when they no longer represent your intentions.
If your preferences are still accurate, keep them accurate. You can consider whether a different subject direction or start period is genuinely acceptable, but a larger feed is only useful when its options belong to a plan you would consider pursuing.
Separate loading problems from research results
Offline messaging asks you to reconnect so current university options can load. A Matches could not be loaded state offers Try again. These are loading states, so begin with the connection or retry action before editing your education.
After a profile change, Academic refreshes its assessment. The full feed also provides pull-to-refresh, and it can show New matches available when a refresh is needed. Use that action before saving an option from a changed feed.
Basic provides up to three preview results; full Academic access has a different scope. If the app directs you to membership options, read that as an access message rather than a judgment about your study background.
Return to Academic, read the explanation once, and follow the action that addresses the actual gap. A precise next step is more useful than changing several accurate fields at once.
